The Angels Basketball Club is coached and managed by passionate individuals who are dedicated to elevating the players and club to its greatest potential. Our coaches and parent volunteers are an integral part of the club's success, and form a tremendous bond through practices, games and tournament travel.
Coach Arington, founder of the AAU Angels Basketball Club organization since 1999, has been coaching girls basketball for over fifteen years. He is currently the head coach of the Indian Hill High School Braves Girls Basketball program, who have four consecutive CHL Championships and plan on adding 2014-2015 to the banner through hard work and great teamwork this season. Coach Arington has developed national competing teams from 9-18 years of age. Coach Arington and his wife Rhonda reside in Indian Hill, Ohio and are the proud parents of five daughters.
Coach Harlan is entering his 4th year with the Angels Basketball Club and has coached girls basketball at the high school or AAU level for 19 years. During that time, he coached for 9 years at Mount Notre Dame High School and won five State titles, two as an assistant coach. Prior to his coaching experience he played basketball at New Mexico State University. Coach Harlan and his wife Kristi reside in Cincinnati, Ohio and are the proud parents of three children: Taylor, Jayden and Jordan.
Coach Snell is entering his 7th season with the Angels Basketball Club. He started coaching Basketball at CCDS in 2005. His teams won 3 Miami Valley Conference Championships consecutively (2010, 2011, 2012) and were crowned sectional champs in 2013. Coach Snell has accumulated over 200 wins as a varsity coach. Prior to coming to CCDS, he was the Head Coach at Landmark Christian where his teams won 2 Miami Valley Conference Championships and were Sectional Finalists.
As one of the original 15 back in 1999, Coach Smith has grown with the Angels Basketball Club from player to coach to Director of Operations. Most recently, Coach Smith was the head of the Indian Hill girls basketball middle school program where both the 7th & 8th grade teams went undefeated. Coach Smith was on staff at the University of Kentucky as Manager of the Women's Basketball Team from 2009 to 2011. During that time she managed the program through three NCAA appearances including Elite 8 and SEC Championship. Coach Smith is married to her High School sweetheart, Kyle Smith and has a one year old son named Roman.
Jennifer is Chris Arington’s administrative assistant at Prasco and has been with the company for 11 years. She takes care of the Angels’ administrative needs and is in her 4th year of working with the Club. She does all of this remotely from Houston, Texas where she lives with her husband, Ben and their 13 year old son, Jacob.
Coach Fantanarosa joins the Angels coaching staff bringing 23 years of Division I collegiate coaching experience. She was an assistant coach at Xavier University and the University of South Carolina before becoming the head coach at Western Carolina and Miami University. Miami’s winningest coach with 237 wins, her teams appeared in 4 postseason tournaments. Fantanarosa was also a successful player at Miami scoring over 1000 points.
A member of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, Fantanarosa still holds the Pennsylvania State scoring record with 3,823 points. (13th nationally)
Fantanarosa resides in Mason with her husband Tim Morrow and two daughters, Lauren and Allison.
Coach Combs enters his first season with the Angels Basketball Club. He is in his 5th year on staff with Athletes in Action as a basketball specialist. Before joining AIA, he coached 2 years of high school and 18 years of college basketball. (Berea College and Union College) Since being on staff he has directed and/or coached tours to Turkey, China, Indonesia, New Zealand, Guatemala and the AIA USA Fall Tour. He has also conducted camps and clinics in several countries. He loves coaching basketball because it has given him the opportunity to impact the lives of players, coaches and fans around the world. It is a platform to teach this great game and share Jesus as well. Coach Combs resides in Jamestown, OH with his wife Jody and their 4 children: Kyle, Katelyn, Kristen, Kevin.
