The Angels Basketball Club is coached and managed by passionate individuals who are dedicated to elevating the players and club to its greatest potential. Our coaches and parent volunteers are an integral part of the club's success, and form a tremendous bond through practices, games and tournament travel.
Coach Arington has been coaching girls basketball for over twelve years and is the founder of the AAU Angels Basketball Club organization which started in 1999. He is currently the head coach of the Indian Hill High School Braves Girls Basketball program, who have four consecutive CHL Championships and plan on adding 2012-2013 to the banner through hard work and great teamwork this season. Coach Arington has developed national competing teams from 9-18 years of age. Coach Arington and his wife Rhonda reside in Indian Hill, Ohio and are the proud parents of five daughters.
Coach Harlan is entering his 3rd year with the Angels Basketball Club and has coached girls basketball at high school or AAU level for 18 years. During that time, he coached for 9 years at Mount Notre Dame High School and won five State titles, two as an assistant coach. Prior to his coaching experience he played basketball at New Mexico State University.
Coach Harlan and his wife Kristi reside in Cincinnati, Ohio and are the proud parents of three children: Taylor, Jayden and Jordan.
Coach Snell has been coaching basketball for 10 years, and coaching with the Angels for 6 years. He coached at Landmark Christian for two years, and has just
completed his 8th season at Cincinnati Country Day. John has coached his
girls to 4 Miami Valley Conference league championships. John has been MVC
coach of the year and Ohio Division 16 Coach of the year. John's overall
record is 170-55. The past four years he is 71-17.
Coach Gwynn is currently on staff as Head Coach of Walnut Hills Women's Varsity Basketball Program. Prior to that role, Gwynn coached Norwood to a 21-4 record in one season with the Division II program. He accepted the position May 22, 2012 and led the Indians to a program-best 19 wins in the regular season. Norwood was a district finalist. Gwynn was named an AP Division II district coach of the year. Coach Gwynn will be assisting with the Angels U12 team along with his wife, Alison Gwynn.
Coach Alison will be assisting with the Angels U12 team this year. A Civil Engineer, Personal Trainer and former Drexel Women's Basketball Player, Alison also helps her husband Keith with the Walnut Hills program.
As one of the original 15 back in 1999, Coach Smith has grown with the Angels Basketball Club from player to coach to Director of Operations. Most recently, Coach Smith was on staff at the University of Kentucky as the Manager of the Women's Basketball Team from 2009 to 2011. During that time she managed the club through three NCAA appearances including Elite 8 and SEC Championship. Coach Smith was recently married to her High School sweetheart, Kyle Smith and resides in Mason, Ohio.
Jennifer is Chris Arington’s administrative assistant at Prasco and has been with the company for 10 years. She takes care of the Angels’ administrative needs and is in her 4th year of working with the Club. She does all of this remotely from Houston, Texas where she lives with her husband, Ben and their 12 year old son, Jacob.
